Hello and welcome to another Side-Quest episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone. On these bonus episodes, we talk about what games we’ve been playing over the past couple of weeks. This episode, we return to games we left behind for awhile. Madelyn picks up Breath of the Wild, only to die tragically under the blood moon, and Emma picks up Final Fantasy XV and rediscovers the wonders of Cup Noodle.
As always, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on iTunes, Google Play, or Spotify or head over to our episodes page for even more options.
Reigns: Her Majesty
Reigns: Her Majesty is a card-swiping game where you play as a queen who treats her kingdom like Tinder. Try to avoid death as long as possible by keeping everyone at just the right level of pissed off. But, while you’re doing that, you must also uncover the secret behind your endless reincarnation and deal with the mysteries of the All-Mother. That can wait until you’ve become the thirstiest queen in all of history though.
Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XV (or Final Fantasy 15 if you’re lazy) is an open world, action adventure JRPG. Play as Prince Noctis, accompanied by his three loyal homies, on his quest to discover the secret behind the tastiness of Cup Noodle. Also, they jam to tunes in the car, play a confusing arcade game, and stop at every fishing spot they pass. Oh yeah, and like, win the war against Niflheim? Honestly, don’t remember what they’re actually supposed to be doing.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an open world action adventure game and the latest installment in Nintendo’s much-loved Zelda series. After 100 years, a swordsman named Link awakes to finally fulfill his destiny to burn down every forest in his path and become a shield-surfing madman. Oh, and also defeat Calamity Ganon before he destroys the world. But wait, there’s a Korok seed over here!
Fire Emblem Warriors
Fire Emblem Warriors is a hack-and-slash tactical role-playing game (a bit of an oxymoron, we know) made by Omega Force and Team Ninja for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch. During an ordinary day, monsters attack the capital city of Aytolis and royal twins Rowan and Lianna must leave their mother behind. In order to prevent calamity from taking over their world, the twins must power up the Fire Emblem with Gleamstones from heroes of other worlds. In this case, the ones that win popularity contests in Japan, pretty much.
