Episode 39. What Remains of the Prince

Hello, and welcome to another episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone. This week, we’re talking about Prince of Persia and What Remains of Edith Finch! There’s a prince (sometimes) in one and a king in the other (no, really), so it’s a royal kind of episode. As usual, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on iTunesGoogle Play, or Spotify or head over to our episodes page for even more options.

Prince of Persia

the original prince of persia game

In this episode, we talk about the original three Prince of Persia games and the newer three Prince of Persia games since they all fall into the old game category. Take on the role of Prince, who is sometimes actually a prince and sometimes is just nicknamed that, as he attempts to save the princess through difficult platforming puzzles. He’s clearly in the right because the other guy’s name is Jafar. So that automatically means he’s evil. Unless he’s the Fire Emblem character Jafar in which case, he redeems himself.

What Remains of Edith Finch

what remains of edith finch on the video game podcast talk this

What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of interactive short stories from Giant Sparrow, centered around the many deaths of the Finch family. Edith Finch returns to her childhood home after the death of her mother with the mysterious key that was left to her. In that house, she discovers more about the curse of the Finch family and comes to understand her place in that history. Each vignette features a different gameplay mechanic that illustrates something about that family member’s life and their death.

Enjoy the episode! If you’ve got some time, why don’t you check out the Play This! series on our YouTube channel? Edith Finch would actually make for a great episode.
