Hello, and welcome to another episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone. This week, we’re talking about The Sims and Celeste. They’re both games about people struggling against difficult tasks. Like climbing a mountain or, you know, just eating and sleeping regularly.
As usual, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, or Spotify or head over to our episodes page for even more options.
The Sims
In The Sims, you make a family, and then you keep that family happy and healthy. Well, okay, not usually that last part. Torture your Sims, turn them into vampires, make them form a band. A Vampire Band maybe. Or if you’re real weird, try to have as many children in as few generations as possible! Because there are some screwed up people out there and they come up with some screwed up things, and I have to bleach my brain now, okay, bye.
Celeste
Celeste is a game about climbing a mountain. Celeste Mountain, to be exact. Play as Madeline as she attempts to reach the peak, stumbling upon supernatural happenings, a photo-happy traveler, and many, many strawberries on the way. You’ll die a lot. You won’t put it down though. Believe me. You can’t put it down. It’s fused itself to my hands. Oh god. HELP.
No, okay, it’s real good.
