Hello, and welcome to another episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone. This week, we’re talking about Panzer Dragoon and Anthem. In both of these games, you can fly. That’s pretty much the only similarity as far as we can tell.
As usual, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and on the Pandora app (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below!
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon is a 1995 rail shooter from SEGA, in which the player controls a boy on a dragon and takes out enemies through a series of linear levels. Later entries in the series added more variety, including the development of an ambitious RPG meant to compete with the likes of Finale Fantasy. There’s a remake of the original Panzer Dragoon coming out soon on the Nintendo Switch.
Anthem
Anthem is a 2019 online action adventure loot shooter type thing from Bioware. The game had a rough development, suffering under poor leadership and indecisiveness, and it launched with a whole host of serious issues. The grand experiment from Bioware ended in a grand disappointment for most everyone involved. But hey, the flying’s pretty cool.
