Episode 68. Mana from the Breach

Hello, and welcome to another episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone. This week, we’re talking about Secret of Mana and Into the Breach. Madelyn did not wear her banana outfit for the occasion. What do either of these games have to do with bananas? Nothing.

As usual, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotify, and on the Pandora app (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below!

Secret of Mana

Secret of Mana is a 1993 SNES game from Square (not yet Square Enix). It’s technically the second game in the Mana series but the first named as such in the West. It focused on real-time combat elements and also introduced cooperative multiplayer for three players, each taking the role of one of the characters.

Into the Breach

Into the Breach is a strategy game from Subset Games, coming off the success of their previous venture, FTL: Faster than Light. Live as long as you can and carry over your progress or failures from map to map. It’s one of those games Madelyn would like if she could tolerate losing. Or maybe Emma would like if she didn’t get overly emotionally invested in everything.
