Side-Quest 111. Whatever E3 Stands For

Hello and welcome to another Side-Quest episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone! This week, we’re talking about video game conferences. That’s right, we’re trying out something timely ahead of this year’s E3.

As always, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotify, and Pandora (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below

The Topic

When did we start having video game conferences? What are they for anyway? What are some of the biggest examples in the industry, and how do they differ from each other? How will in-person conferences move forward next year when people can go to things in-person again?

The Actual Discussion

We talk about highlights and lowlights from conferences of years past. We also give advice on which conferences are worth going to and which aren’t. As the year continues, we also touch on why things could just stay virtual if they wanted to. Also, we give some predictions for E3 2021.
