What is a fishing minigame? On that matter, what even is a minigame? What sorts of games include fishing minigames and why? How can developers use different kinds of fishing minigames to create different sorts of feelings in their players?

We talk about our opinions on fishing minigames – which ones we like, which ones we don’t, which ones we have experience with, etc. Thanks to an interesting blog, we talk about how fishing games are sort of like lootboxes, psychologically. Finally, we try to brainstorm new implementations of fishing beyond what is usually done.
