Hello and welcome to another Side-Quest episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone! This week, we’re talking about horror games. We, of course, are certified experts and definitely not scared little babies. Definitely not.
As always, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and Pandora (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below!
The Topic
What are some of the most notable controllers in gaming history? How have controllers evolved from the days of the joystick to the days of the dual analog sticks? What are some of the weirder controllers or console add-ons in gaming history? Why is the DualShock 4 the ideal controller (to me, Emma)?
The Actual Discussion
We go through a brief history of controller evolution. We appreciate the Sega Round Boy (not its official name). There’s a clear consolidation of design that begins with the original DualShock, and we speculate about the reasons for that. We also talk about some highlights (or lowlights) in the history of controllers. What’s a Labo anyway?
