Side-Quest 64. All My Precious Children

Hello and welcome to another Side-Quest episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone! In this episode, Emma rants and raves about how proud she is of her students while Madelyn snags a quick nap. Listen to me talk about my students. Bernie’s finally come out of her room after Caspar literally carried her out and Sylvain taught Marianne how to smile. Ferdinand and Dorothea have made up. Felix is a dancer. All of them are so- *Editor Emma is dragged off the stage, kicking and screaming*

That’s becoming a side-quest theme.

As always, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotify, and on the Pandora app (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below!

Madelyn finished up Assassin’s Creed and was a little disappointed by the lack of pen stabbing. She also started Yakuza 0 and did some karaoke and some fighting. Together, we’ve been playing Wolfenstein: Youngblood as we previously promised. Anybody know any other games featuring sisters? Because we’re digging these sisters.

Meanwhile, Emma finished up Judgment and loves it as much as ever. She also picked up Your Turn to Die, a freeware death game “by majority” and was really impressed with the character writing and the music.

BUT WHO CARES ABOUT ANY OF THAT? Emma has been playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It has made her heart feel very full. We talk about that in very clear, not at all indistinguishable words. There’s some chest clutching behind the scenes. They’re good kids.

Weather Report

A little over a month after release, Activision has announced that they’re bringing micro-transactions to Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled. We talk about the ramifications of that, what issues we have with it, and our general feeling on micro-transactions.

Off-Topic Corner

Hey, it’s logistical stuff! Everybody’s favorite! But seriously, it’s pretty fun. We’ve got a new Side-Quest formula coming up, and we lay it all out for you on the show. A summary:

1- Madelyn led discussion

2- Emma led discussion

3- Save Data

Repeat

We’ll see how that goes!

Traffic Report

We’ve got our regular schedule of two Split Screens and two Clickbait Boyfriends. So get on that if you aren’t totally caught up on those two series!

Question of the Fortnight

Asking Emma who her favorite student is in Fire Emblem Three Houses is like asking her to rip off her own arm. Because they are all her favorite. Meanwhile, Madelyn makes Pokemon jokes.
