Side-Quest 73. Gotta Deliver ‘Em All

Hello and welcome to another Side-Quest episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone! This time, we’re talking about our past six weeks in gaming. Yes, Fire Emblem is still here. Will it be the last time it’s here? Odds are low.

As always, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotify, and Pandora (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below!

Madelyn

On her own, Madelyn finally managed to get through the Golden Deer route of Fire Emblem Three Houses. For now, that’s all she’s playing of it. It took her so long because she got almost every single possible support conversation. I can’t believe it either. From there, she moved on to Pokemon Sword, and her completionist tendencies may even get her to finish the Dex.

Together, we also struggled through Human Fall Flat. Particular shout out to Madelyn for dealing with her drifty Switch through this whole process.

Emma

On the PlayStation, Emma’s got Death Stranding for the weekends and Trails of Cold Steel for the weeknights. Both are long games with their own sets of challenges, but she’s generally having fun playing them. Her backlog is laughing at her. Oh boy, is it laughing.

Emma also got Pokemon Shield, but hasn’t gotten nearly as far into the game as Madelyn. Her character is named Hip. Leon refuses to say Hip and Hop in the correct order. Just to keep Fire Emblem alive on the show, she’s also progressing through Shadows of Valentia on the DS, which is utterly charming so far.

Oh yeah, and we talk about the Re:Mind trailer. How could we not?
