Sunset Overdrive

Keyart for Sunset Overdrive

Sunset Overdrive is a 2014 action-adventure game from Insomniac, exclusive to the Xbox console. An energy drink maker’s latest product turns everyone who drinks it into a horrifying monster, and you, the Player, must do your best to survive while stuck in the middle of the outbreak. The game has a heavy emphasis on movement and traversal, meaning that you’ll have to be always zooming even while you’re fighting.

MindsEye is definitely a game that came out this year in 2025, developed by Build a Rocket Boy studio. The game tells a story, and it also lets players interact with it. Many of those interactions will lead to inexplicable mission failures, but that’s still interaction. It is a game more notable for what it represents than for what it actually is.
