Episode 62: Thief Gone!

Hello, and welcome to another episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone. This week, we’re talking about Thief: The Dark Project and Days Gone. Of course the one week we pick a game that’s somewhat hip and topical, and we’re recording it ahead of time. Still at noon on Sunday, just not this current Sunday. Obviously.

As usual, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotify, and on the Pandora app (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below!

Thief

Thief: The Dark Project is a 1998 first-person stealth game (or “sneak em up” as everyone is required to call it now) developed by Looking Glass Studios. Play as Garrett, a master thief, as he takes on a job to steal the Eye and gets way over his head in a supernatural conspiracy. The Dark Project and its sequels are still considered some of the best stealth games of all time- and not just because there’s not much competition. Although that is a contributing factor.

Days Gone

Days Gone is the latest PlayStation exclusive, this time out of Sony-owned Bend Studio. Play as Deacon St. John, often called “Deac” to everyone’s displeasure as he struggles to survive a post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest. Deal with hordes of the undead with nothing but your wits and your motorbike. Just remember, they’re called Freakers. Not zombies.
