The Topic

How is religion portrayed in games? How are real religions portrayed in games versus fictional religions? Why do you kill God so often in RPGs? What are some of many reasons that Call of Duty kind of sucks? And why aren’t religious stories as prominent in games as they are in other forms of media?

The Actual Discussion

We talk about portrayals of real-life religion in games, and why the subject of faith doesn’t actually seem to come up too often in games set in the real world except in historical settings and (ugh) Call of Duty. We lay out the difference between killing God versus killing the church. Also we talk about I Am Jesus Christ, in which Jesus Christ can run out of Holy Spirit.
