The Topic

What are some forms of traversal in games? What are the kinds of traversal that players tend to enjoy and remember the most? Do you need to have exceptional traversal to make a good video game? What are the kinds of traversal that we’ve enjoyed in games we’ve played before?

The Actual Conversation

We talk about what we like about letting other characters drive us around and what we like about pressing lots of buttons to move instead. We also compare fast and slow traversal and why players tend to prefer fast. Also, we ponder why we like jumping off big heights so much in games when we wouldn’t do it in real life. Some time is also spent on some of the more unique methods of traversal.
