Episode 65. The Deltarune-iest Journey

Hello, and welcome to another episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone. This week, we’re talking about The Longest Journey and Deltarune. For once, we can actually, in good faith, recommend you go play the games yourself since The Longest Journey is $5 on Steam and Deltarune is just entirely free. Need something to pick up? Give it a go!

As usual, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotify, and on the Pandora app (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below!

The Longest Journey

The Longest Journey is a point-and-click adventure game from 1999, developed by Funcom. You play as April Ryan, a seemingly normal college art student. She begins to have strange dreams about a fantastic land with talking trees and dragons, and then those fantasies start manifesting in her day-to-day world. Talk with your friends, pick up tools, solve puzzles, and figure out what’s happening to you.

Deltarune

Deltarune is the new project from Toby Fox of Undertale fame. Currently, only its first chapter is out and available for free on everything except Xbox. Create an avatar- or wait, actually, don’t. Play as Kris, a seemingly normal boy who ends up in another world after wandering too deep into his school’s closet. There’s a bit of a theme here, isn’t there?

Enjoy the episode! Leave a comment or, even better, leave a rating and review on the podcast platform of your choice! And, if you haven’t yet subscribed, make sure to do so.
