Side-Quest 60. Our E3 Predictions are Already Wrong

Hello and welcome to another Side-Quest episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone! In this episode, we’re finally back in the swing of things. Mostly. As much as we ever are. And we’ve got a lot to catch up on in our four weeks since the last traditional side-quest, so you get a delightfully long one this time. We hope you enjoy!

As always, you can listen to our podcast basically anywhere you want. Check it out on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotify, and on the Pandora app (or head over to our episodes page for even more options). Or just listen below!

You’d think that we’d have played a little more in four weeks, but you’d be underestimating how lazy Emma can be. Madelyn, however, has done enough for both of us. She spent some time accidentally drowning Altair in Assassin’s Creed over and over again (even in the middle of the city!) She also started up NieR: Automata finally, after much pressure from Emma. We also give you the run down on everything weird we found to play in Japan. More on that later!

Weather Report

We talk about all the games we’re expecting to see and what we’re excited for at E3 2019! We’re already wrong considering that presentations have already begun and this Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC trailer hit during the LA Orchestra concert. But, hey, that’s half the fun of E3! And we might still get some things right. Probably not, but we might.

Hey, that rhymed!

Off-Topic Corner

We went to Japan for two weeks and had a great time! We did all the touristy things, Emma got addicted to capsule machines, and Madelyn almost got eaten by deer. We barely manage to scratch the surface of everything we did on our trip because there was just so much! Anyway, we’re just glad to be over the jetlag finally. Mostly.

Traffic Report

Yeah, there’s nothing. We got nothing. Check back after the next Side-Quest, our blog will rise again.

Question of the Fortnight

Ahead of E3, Nintendo gave a Direct on Pokemon Sword & Shield. We talk about which starter we’re most likely to pick, along with which version of the game we want to get! What about you, listeners? Which new Pokemon calls out to you the most? Let us know in the comments or on social media!

Enjoy the episode! Check out last week’s episode where we talked about Spore and Red Dead Redemption 2 and look forward to next week’s episode where we’re talking about Bayonetta and Vampyr!
