Hello and welcome to another Side-Quest episode of Talk This! It’s Dangerous to Podcast Alone. We’re breaking from our new format a bit since we’re currently in Philadelphia with our dad and our two little gamer sisters! That’s right, for the second time on the podcast, we’re featuring Aurora and Milena, now age eight and age four. They remain very sassy and smart.
ALSO we’re fresh out of the Game for Change Festival where we wore our Talk This! tees for one of three days like not smelly people. We had a lot of thoughts on that.
Bonus Sister Segment
Aurora and Milena both love to play video games almost as much as we do. They’ve been playing games with us all week. However, they’ve got very different tastes and opinions about what makes a good game. Since they’re the new generation of gamers, we wanted to get their opinions on where they think gaming is going and what they want out of their video games. Compare and contrast with the very special sister episode from last summer! They’ve grown so much!
Mini Save Data
We’ve been together for most of these past two weeks, so we’ve been indulging in our favorite thing- local co-op! At the NYC location for Talk This!, we communicated pretty well through a few levels of Overcooked. Then, at our Philadelphia location, we’ve been playing All Zombies Must Die. Madelyn’s character Brian is very gung-ho about zombie extermination, yet I somehow manage to win most levels.
Traffic Report
On top of the new Play This! which you can see above, we have had a few blogs of note. Clickbait Boyfriend finally overcame the Roxas boss fight of Kingdom Hearts 2 while the Talk This! team have continued to make our way through My Hero Academia and Boys Over Flowers in Split Screen. Finally, Emma also put together a retrospective on the Games for Change Festival and what we learned there. Madelyn thinks it’s rude. It probably is.
Games for Change
The 15th anniversary of the Games for Change Festival was a blast! We learned some new facts, remained skeptical of some ideas, and almost vomited over expensive equipment. No, really, it was great. Again, check out the retrospective we published already on the blog.
Question of the Fortnight (except it’s Fortnite this time)
People tried in vain to appreciate the sky in Fortnite as an opportunistic player took them all out to gain the solo kill record. Is that person a hero? A villain? A complicated figure to put in the history books? Find out what we think by listening to the episode and let us know your thoughts as well!

Enjoy the episode! If you want to know what we talked about on last week’s full episode, check out the blog for Episode 40 right here. Look forward to next week’s episode where we plan to discuss Portal (Madelyn: ugh) and Abzu!
